  4. Prepare 2 tomatoes pureed

  8. Take 1 inch piece ginger

  10. Take 2 tbsp coriander leaves

  13. You need 1 tsp jeera powder
  14. You need 1/4 tsp haldi powder

Steps to make Aloo Matar:
  1. Slice the onions, make puree of the tomatoes and make a paste of ginger, garlic, green chillies and coriander leaves.
  2. Heat oil in a kadhai add jeera & green cardamom. Add the sliced onions fry till golden brown, add the ginger-garlic paste and fry for few mins. Add haldi powder, dhaniya powder, jeera powder and red chilli powder and fry for few mins add little water if dry
  3. Then add tomato puree and cook till the masala leaves the sides.
  4. Add the peas and potatoes and saute for 2 mins in the masala, then add garam masala powder and salt, add hot water and cook covered on medium flame till peas and potatoes are done.
