- Provide 3 Tbsp besan/gram flour

- Take 1 cup rice
- Provide 1 medium size onion chopped finely
- Use 2 Tbsp ginger-garlic-green chillies paste
- You need Pinch asafoetida
- You need 1-2 cardamoms
- Prepare 1-2 cloves
- Take 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- Get 1 tsp garam masala powder
- You need as needed Ghee / Oil
- Get to taste Salt
- Take for Garnishing
- Prepare as needed oranges
- You need 3 tsp corinader leaves
Instructions to make Gathe Pulao:
- For Gathe - In a bowl add Besan. Add all ingredients under Gathe. Add very little water to make a tight dough
- Make lemon size balls cylindrical in shape. Cut into halves
- Boil in a bowl water and add the Gathe’s. Boil for 2-3 mins
- In a wok heat oil and deep fry the Gathe’s. Set aside
- For Pulao - Boil rice. Cook 90%, drain and set aside.
- In a wok heat ghee / oil and add cardamoms, cumin seeds, cloves, hing and stir for 30 seconds.
- Add chopped onions, rice, ginger-garlic-green chilli paste, rice and Gathe’s. Mix very well
- Add garam masala powder and salt. Mix, sprinkle little water and lime juice and chopped coriander leaves. Set aside
- Garnish with oranges and enjoy hot with Mint Raita
